In 1982, Gramicci was established in Californica, USA<\/span>,<\/span> by Mike Graham, a rock<\/span> climber who wanted to create climbing wear based on his experience. The iconic details of the clothing, including a gusseted crotch for creating freedom of movement for the feet and a webbing belt that was adjustable with one hand, enjoyed popularity even in urban locations<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The brand launched the Performance Line in 2019 to refocus on climbing as<\/span> its<\/span> origin by offering more functional wear and other clothing items using modern technologies<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Gramicci has been favorably accepted not only as rock-climbing<\/span> wear<\/span> but as lifestyle<\/span> wear because of<\/span> such<\/span> features as the gusseted crotch and included web belt, the simple but sophisticated silhouettes, and the use of natural materials.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In this context, Gramicci\u2019s<\/span> Performance Line creates items that capitalize<\/span> on its unique details and use<\/span> modern functional materials based on the concept developed at the time of the brand\u2019s establishment and<\/span> inspired by the atmosphere of climbers who <\/span>confront nature freely<\/span><\/i>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Please tell us the reason for adopting SOLOTEX\u00ae for the Performance Line.<\/h4>\n

In deciding on the material, our brand focused on the primary properties of SOLOTEX<\/span>\u00ae<\/span>, including form stability and stretchiness<\/span>, <\/span>as well as the property of enhancing the functionality of the material while maintaining<\/span> compatibility with other natural fibers like cotton. In addition, the beautiful coloring is very<\/span> appealing<\/span>.<\/span> We think<\/span> we can<\/span> produce the yellow color very vividly with no dullness<\/span> for a variety of<\/span> items for spring-summer 2020.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We understand that the SOLOTEX\u00ae used in the Performance Line is a hybrid material that is more functional than ever before. What functions have been added?<\/h4>\n

Water repellency is strengthened with microscopic ruggedness on the surface of the fabric, which was taken from the property of lotus leaves.<\/span> Though we do not introduce it at<\/span> this time, the material is also used for basic T-shirts and other clothing<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For the Performance Line<\/span>,<\/span> we would like to offer a new style of Gramicci<\/span> using highly functional SOLOTEX<\/span>\u00ae<\/span> with its high form stability, stretchiness<\/span>,<\/span> and water repellant finish<\/span>; <\/span>on the other hand<\/span>, <\/span>we want to produce items with enhanced functionality while maintaining the appearance specific to natural materials by using SOLOTEX<\/span>\u00ae<\/span> combined with natural fibers<\/span> like cotton in order to meet the needs of users who want the authentic Gramicci<\/span>, <\/span>which<\/span> has been maintained since the 80s.
